7 formas de “matar sua aula”

1. Ensinar aos seus alunos o que já sabem.

2. Trabalhar conteúdos irrelevantes para ou inadequados para a faixa etária.

3. Dar instruções longas sem exemplos.

4. Não dar feedback aos seus alunos.

5. Tentar manter o controle o tempo todo.

6. Não chamar seus alunos pelos nomes.

7. Se algo não estiver dando certo, mude.

Então para dar esquentar, algumas ideias para warm ups

Observation of the room. Walking around. Pair up. One pair closes eyes and describes the room in as much detail as possible. Stand back to back. Other partner describes their partner’s clothes.

What am I doing? In small groups. One person chooses a verb. Mime that action to the others in your group. They have to guess the verb.

Alphabet lists. Can relate to any topic you might be doing. One we can try is food. I went on a picnic and I had an apple. I went…etc.

What is it? Whole class in a circle. Object in the middle. Imagine this object is something else. E.g. a spade. Go into the circle and use it as that other object. Group has to guess what the object is.

A man walks into a bar…one students goes outside. The rest decide on a job that person has. When the student comes back, the other students pretend that they are in a bar but they give clues by what they say to try to get the student to guess what their job is. Also works with giving names of celebrities, types of animal – wherever the imagination takes you.
