After being part of the APIES (Associação dos Professores de Inglês do Espírito Santo) Board for 7 years, time has come to say goodbye. I was the representative of APIES in the south of Espírito Santo for one year, the secretary for four years, and since 2015 I have been the cultural director. Furthermore, I was the organizer of the XXVI Encontro da APIES held in Vitória in September 2016.
During these 7 years, I made our social media marketing successful, helped strengthen our partnership with other APLIs, BRAZ-TESOL, publishing houses, local institutions – both private and public – met amazing people, and made incredible friends.
Every story has an end. However, in life, every end is a new beginning. A new beginning with more experience, more partners, more friends, and more people willing to help me make the ELT community grow in Espírito Santo. I am super excited to see what 2017 has in store.
