Before thinking about efficient ways to reduce our impact on the planet, we need to know exactly how much our different behaviors impact our carbon footprint. |
De forma geral, os testes abrangem: transportation, home energy and appliances, food and personal purchases. Pretendem medir nosso carbon, food, housing and goods footprints (Ver definições abaixo).
What part of my Footprint can I influence?
Some of each person’s Ecological Footprint is dependent upon choices they make in their own life, and some of it is their per person share of their societies’ infrastructure. The first part can be influenced directly. The second part is equally critical to living within the means of one planet, but must be influenced through more indirect action such as political engagement, green technology and innovation, and other work toward large-scale social change. |
Definitions
Carbon footprint: the area needed to absorb carbon emissions generated by your home energy use and transportation.
Food footprint: the area needed to grow crops, fish, and graze animals and absorb carbon emissions from food processing and transport.
Housing footprint: the area occupied by your home and the area needed to supply resources used in construction and household maintenance.
Goods and services footprint: the area needed to supply consumer items you purchase and absorb carbon emissions from their manufacturing, transport, and disposal.
Curiosity
The average carbon footprint for Brasil is 3519 kg of CO₂ per year, and 3791 kg worldwide.
A maioria oferece múltipla escolha ou requer dados simples. 1. How often do you eat meat, fish or eggs? 2.
